RICHMOND, Va. – Garrett Smithley hopes to get back on track this weekend at Richmond International Raceway.
After two straight finishes in the 30s, Smithley is gunning for a rebound in Saturday’s ToyotaCare 250 Xfinity Series race at RIR.
“We’ve had a tough couple of weeks,” Smithley said. “Richmond can be the place we make a jump. I’ve run there twice in these cars, so I know the track pretty well. We’ll rebound this week.”
Smithley, driving for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller, is 20th in Xfinity driver points entering the race.
Practice is scheduled at RIR at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is set for 10:05 a.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 1 p.m.
